After taking a wonderfully, restorative 2 week “laptop cleanse” over the holiday break, your girl is back and ready to get into the swing of things all blog related. In the time that’s past since my last post: Christmas and the New Year came and went in one fell swoop. And now here we are… Living in the year of 2016. Woooo!
During my 2 week cleanse, I broke out a piece of paper and wrote down a long list of things I’d like to accomplish this year both personally and for this here blog. A couple seconds later, I crumpled that piece of paper into a ball and threw it in the trash because I had written a similar list of goals last year and that didn’t really amount to anything except for the travel part.
Last year, I was internally stressed by the high expectations I placed on myself to perform as a human being with everything I was juggling (insert a deadly combination of OCD & procrastination here) but this year…
This year I simply want to get organized, keep things minimal, and approach life one day at a time… This year, I’m really going to focus on my overall mental/physical health and well-being. And travel, of course. :)
^^ Don’t ask me what I’m doing here because I don’t know…
As for this blog, it will continue to chug along as it has. I don’t have any major goals except to keep it going as much as I can while working full time and going to school. I’ve got 3 more semesters of grad school to go (I’m soooo close guys, hurry up Spring ’17!) and then maybe once I’m done, I’ll finally allow myself to address the reoccurring thoughts I have of pursuing blogging full time. Maybe.
In the meantime, I’m just gonna do me and continue to slowly work on this space, sharing my life happenings one moment at a time along the way of my pursuit of adventure and happiness.
Good things are coming. I can feel it. Just gotta keep things slow and steady Setarra… Slow and steady.
I can do this. I WILL do this. I’m a bad bitch.
Wishing you a happy new year filled with positive vibes and turtle power! Bring it on 2016. Bring it on!0
