Last Dinner In Europe

Twas the last evening of our honeycation (honeymoon + vacation)… Such a bittersweet night filled with an overwhelming amount of happy emotions. After the Montjuic e-bike tour, we came back to our Airbnb, showered and then went in search of food and beer to celebrate our time in Barcelona.

It wasn’t long before we found ourselves at Jaunita Lala which we decided to dine at for superficial reasons = We were attracted to their wonderfully lit outdoor seating area. Luckily, their menu matched the exterior decorations in taste.

^^ My debonair date. <3
^^ Our order was simple. We got nachos…
 ^^ Empanadas
^^  Grilled Corn On A Stick & Beer.
Meal devoured, we toasted to the end of a wonderful trip. 2 weeks spent traveling fast in Europe, exploring France, Amsterdam and Barcelona for the 1st time ever as husband and wife = We were exhausted to the point of complete satisfaction… Kind of like that feeling after you’ve had amazing sex and you want to go for round two but you’re too tired to continue so instead you fall asleep which is a-ok because you know you’ll do it again once both parties have recouped. Yea, I said it. Traveling is alot like sex. Anyways, moving along…

Following dinner, we walked back through the winding alleys to our apartment, snapping photos along the way. Hand in hand, we made our way up the steps to our room where we packed up our bags and where I eventually cried myself to sleep because I didn’t want to leave only to wake up the next morning and begin our journey back to the U.S.

^^ Sealed The Night w/ A Kiss

And that’s that, my friends… Our last dinner in Europe! It’s taken me almost a year after the fact to get to today’s post so for those of you who have been reading this blog for a while, thank you so much for bearing with me and my turtle pace!!! I’ve come to the realization that I, Setarra Kennedy, am a slow blogger. And that’s ok because to me, blogging is a marathon, not a race and I’m here for the long run. :)

There are a few more posts from Europe that I’ll be sharing later on this summer but the ones I’ve completed so far were the main bulk of what I wanted to get out of the way first. With that said, I can’t wait to get you caught up with everything that’s been going on these past couple of weeks and share more content about D.C./Northern VA life!

P.S. In case you missed previous posts about our time in Europe: You can read about our travels in France here, Amsterdam here and Barcelona here.

  • haha this is so cute, like the cheesy end of a Disney movie :) Cheers to being a slow blogger! I may eventually start my Euro recap on the 1 year anniversary of our trip….xo

    • Lol I thought it was a pretty cheesy ending too! But cheese is good, in particular feta and goat cheese haha ;) And I can’t wait to read your recap when you get around to it, especially about your time in Italy!

I have loved reading each of your recap posts! Keep em coming lady! Also shoutout to AirBnB. I used it for the first time for our trip to Miami in February and was super impressed. I’m already looking to book a place for a few trips this year!!

    • Thanks Megan! I can only imagine how dope the Airbnbs are in Miami! I’ve never been to Miami (as an adult, went when I was 12 w/ family) but will def look at booking a spot through them when I finally do!
